Steampunk Themed Monogram

One day one lady contacted me on Facebook. She said she saw my work in one Facebook group. She said she is getting marry in month of April and she want to give one special gift to her husband. She and her husband are steampunk fans and she want W monogram with that theme. When she told me about steampunk, I didn't know anything about steampunk. Then she send me some photos and one photo of steampunk themed W. First I was not sure of making this kind of monogram but then I took couple of days to think and then I decided to do the monogram.

DIY Paper Quilling Strips Holder

Surprise Surprise
My girls made me a storage box for quilling strips.

I was keeping my paper strips in a regular Ziploc bag. While cleaning up my table most of the time I always misplace that bag and because of my workshops my organizing box was overflowing with quilling shapes, flowers, butterflies etc. So look what my girls  did for me.

My girls covered the empty Ritz Cracker box with scrap paper and decorated that with all quilling shapes. They also make T for me.. They kept all my paper strips in that box. Now I have a storage box for my strips. 

Thank you very much my lovely girls for this surprise. I love it.

Paper Quilling Supplies: Paper

You must be wondering  what kind of paper I use to make my frames. I use 65 lb cardstock to make most of the frames. Sometimes I cut paper strips with a paper cutting knife or my Cricut Explore Air 2 machine.

 I also use regular colored printing papers and pre cut paper strips to make flowers and butterflies .
